Job Duties
- Empty linen hampers
- receive soiled linen, including locker room
- separate and count linen
- inspect for needed repairs and worn items
- load and operate washers and dryers
- press linen immediately after drying
- fold and store linen by type
- clean laundry room and linen room
- take linen inventory periodically and report shortages
- lubricate laundry machines as required
- requisition laundry supplies
- transport linen to storage area
- receive purchased linens from linen supply sources
- wash and press Club uniforms
- perform minor sewing repairs
- attend staff meetings
- inspect linens for stains and apply appropriate stain treatment procedures prior to washing
- follow fabric-specific washing, drying, and pressing guidelines to prevent damage
- maintain established par levels for all departments (locker rooms, dining, fitness, pool, etc.)
- coordinate with Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Golf Operations to anticipate linen needs for events and tournaments
- document damaged or discarded linen and report trends to management
- request additional linens and towels when inventory levels become too low
- report equipment malfunctions immediately to management
- maintain laundry equipment logs (maintenance, repairs, performance issues)
- provide prompt response to urgent linen requests from departments
- maintain professional appearance and adherence to club grooming standards
