Job Requirements
- No education or experience requirements
- ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs and transporting up to 300 lbs
- ability to work in a noisy and warm environment
- mental alertness to operate laundry equipment and adhere to cleanliness standards
- ability to follow safety protocols
- good communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Ability to manage time according to laundry machine cycles
- ability to operate commercial laundry equipment
- effective communication skills with coworkers who may not speak the same language
- good eye for detail
- physically capable of lifting and transporting linen
- no supervisory responsibilities required
Job Duties
- Receive and sort soiled linen into appropriate containers
- process sorted linen utilizing washers, dryers, sheet spreaders, ironers, and feeder/folder to deliver a finished product that meets quality standards
- maintain assigned work area in a clean and safe condition
- notify supervisor of malfunctioning equipment, supplies needed, or damaged linens
- assist in maintaining overall safety by reporting hazards and following safety procedures
