Job Requirements

  • No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
  • ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces
  • ability to navigate sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
  • ability to reach overhead and below the knees including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
  • willingness to follow all company safety and security policies
  • maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • report safety hazards and accidents promptly

Job Duties

  • Remove and separate soiled laundry from chutes or housekeeping carts
  • operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery according to company standards
  • apply correct treatment to stained items based on fabric and stain type
  • maintain accurate records of items washed, load counts, and poundage of dry cleaning and laundry
  • transport carts of washed articles to dryers and properly place according to load size
  • remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain traps after each load
  • monitor chemical container levels, report potential pump problems to supervisor or manager
  • follow all company safety and security policies and procedures
  • report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
  • complete safety training and certifications
  • ensure personal appearance is clean and professional
  • maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • protect company assets
  • develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members
  • support team to reach common goals
  • listen and respond appropriately to concerns of other employees
  • inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects
  • perform physical tasks such as standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods
  • move, lift, carry, push, pull objects up to 25 pounds
  • move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces
