Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education preferred
  • One year of linen experience preferred
  • Demonstrates skills and competencies necessary for safe job performance
  • Proficient in English language for reading, writing, and speaking
  • Ability to communicate positively and effectively with patients and staff
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of safe handling and operation of housekeeping equipment and chemicals

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers

  • Demonstrated customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Transport clean linen to designated patient areas and departments following Linen Exchange/Stocking Program
  • Receive and manage bulk linen deliveries and build carts
  • Remove soiled linen and prepare for transport to laundry facility
  • Track linen inventory using manual or automated systems
  • Adhere to infection control guidelines in handling linen
  • Operate linen transport equipment safely maintaining awareness of patients and surroundings
  • Maintain organized and clean linen room to minimize lint buildup
