Job Requirements
- Less than high school education
- Up to one month related experience or training or equivalent combination
- Ability to read two- and three-syllable words
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide by 10s and 100s
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to follow instructions
- Physical ability to stand, walk, handle objects, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment required
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Inspect all linen/terry prior to loading washer and separate stained linen for soaking
- Strip linen from guest rooms
- Monitor automatic soap dispensing machines to ensure proper chemical distribution
- Load articles into washers ensuring proper amounts
- Start washing machines for automatic washing and rinsing
- Lift clean wet articles from washer and place into dryers for measured cycles
- Sort dried articles according to type and fold
- Place items in appropriate storage bins
- Sort and count articles to verify quantities on laundry lists
- Soak contaminated articles in neutralizer solution for preconditioning
- Mix dyes and bleaches according to formula and apply to specific articles
- Clean dryer lint filters at least once per day
- Report maintenance issues through proper channels
- Use supplies efficiently for cleaning and maintenance duties
- Wear proper uniform including nametag at all times
- Maintain team effort in keeping laundry area clean and neat
- Accept and resolve any customer problems brought to attention
- Maintain storerooms clean, neat, and organized
- Display a team attitude and assist co-workers as needed
