Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in laundry or housekeeping preferred
- ability to operate laundry machinery
- knowledge of OSHA chemical safety standards
- ability to lift and move heavy items
- ability to stand for long periods
- flexible availability including weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- Sort all stained or damaged items and determine status for rewash or discard
- maintain continuous inventory of discarded items
- operate ironing and folding machines according to specifications
- fold cleaned articles and stack by type and size
- place stacks in specified distribution areas
- remove lint and debris from dryer filters
- use cleaning chemicals according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements
- check working condition and cleanliness of laundry machinery
- monitor usage of chemicals and water to maximize consumption
- maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
- restock work areas for next shift
- turn in all lost and found items and guest room keys
- adhere to company policies and procedures
- follow safety and security procedures and rules
- know fire prevention and emergency procedures
- utilize protective equipment
- report unsafe conditions to management
- report accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss
- provide for a safe work environment by following safety and security procedures
- maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
- perform related duties as requested by supervisor or manager
- assist other housekeeping personnel when needed
