Job Requirements
- Must be able to push or pull 60 pounds and lift or carry 30 pounds
- Must be able to stand for eight hours and perform bending, stretching, and reaching
- Must be able to see and hear
- Must be able to speak and understand English
- Must pass appropriate security clearance
- Must display professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness at all times
Job Qualifications
- Experience in similar capacities such as lodging, housing, hospitals, or care facilities helpful but not mandatory
- Ability to communicate professionally with guests and co-workers
- Knowledge of proper handling of linens and supplies with sanitation and cost control in mind
- Ability to maintain guest privacy
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Ability to follow company laundry procedures systematically
- Ability to multi task and remain service centric
- Professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness
Job Duties
- Receive and sort soiled linens and terry
- Treat stained linen when applicable and salvageable
- Maintain records of damaged or stained linen and terry and alert supervisor when removal from inventory is necessary
- Operate washers and dryers as per manufacturer instructions including cleaning lint traps and requesting maintenance
- Fold clean terry and linen then stock shelves and storage rooms
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow emergency procedures thoroughly
- Perform other duties as assigned within capability
