Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, handle, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, carry or move up to 25 lbs regularly
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally with assistance
  • Willingness to adhere to attendance policies
  • Must have identification establishing identity and right to work in the United States
  • Must complete required chemical and blood borne pathogen training
  • Ability to follow safety and emergency procedures
  • Able to work flexible shifts including weekends
  • Must wear uniform and name tag at all times
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality or laundry services preferred but not required
  • Ability to follow established procedures and safety guidelines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy items
  • Knowledge of proper chemical handling and safety
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • Commitment to providing excellent guest service
  • Completion of chemical and blood borne pathogen training

Job Duties

  • Provide the highest quality of service to the guest at all times and anticipate and exceed guest expectations
  • Maintain and operate all laundry equipment in accordance with established procedures
  • Separate and wash terry separate from linen using gloves when sorting
  • Ensure all linen and terry is free of stains and tears prior to washing
  • Pre-spot stained linen and terry before rewashing
  • Load and unload washers and dryers without overloading machines
  • Fold linen and stack clean towels removing any stained or torn items
  • Use folding machine following safety guidelines
  • Complete daily production sheets
  • Clean dryer lint screens every load
  • Adhere to established productivity standards
  • Clean exterior of all machines daily
  • Check and refill washer chemicals as needed
  • Sweep and mop laundry floor daily using wet floor signs as required
  • Deep clean laundry area weekly
  • Deliver extra terry to Front Desk each evening if needed
  • Stock, clean, and maintain laundry carts, storage areas and racks
  • Practice safety standards at all times including use of fire extinguishers and wet floor signs
  • Follow proper use of approved chemicals and complete chemical and blood borne pathogen training
  • Assist with or perform linen inventory as required
  • Ensure security and confidentiality of all guest and hotel information
  • Practice energy conservation
  • Notify manager or maintenance department of maintenance issues and complete work orders
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area in accordance with hotel standards
  • Attend work on time and adhere to attendance policy
  • Report unsafe conditions and suspicious activity to Security or Management
  • Lift, carry or move up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally with assistance
  • Clean guestrooms during peak periods if necessary
  • Wear uniform including name tag at all times
  • Communicate properly and effectively with guests, team members, and managers
  • Effectively respond to guest complaints
  • Promote positive teamwork and morale
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel property, staff, services, and surroundings
  • Adhere to all work rules, procedures and policies
  • Follow emergency procedures
  • Be flexible and perform other reasonable duties as assigned
  • Treat all equipment and supplies carefully to minimize damage and waste
  • Deliver exceptional, friendly, courteous, and professional guest service
  • Adhere to hotel rules and regulations especially regarding fire, hygiene, health, and safety
  • Comply with local legislation as required
