Job Requirements

  • high school education desirable but not required
  • 1+ years of experience as a laundry attendant or comparable position is desirable
  • minimum training required per year as assigned by the company
  • any additional training required by manager

Job Qualifications

  • sound working familiarity with safety and security procedures and guidelines
  • ability to safely operate commercial laundry equipment
  • ability to read and understand written instructions, especially operating instructions for laundry equipment
  • good command of the English language
  • second language proficiency desirable
  • excellent time management skills

  • ability to maintain customer focus
  • excellent organizational and planning skills
  • excellent interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • receive and sort soiled linen
  • process sorted linen using washing machines, dryers, sheet spreaders, ironers, and feeders/folders
  • inspect each finished item to ensure it meets quality standards
  • reclaim stained linen using special stain-removing processes
  • maintain accurate records of discarded linens
  • participate in linen inventory
  • immediately notify supervisor of malfunctioning equipment, damaged linens, or supply needs
  • maintain assigned work area in a clean and safe manner
  • report all safety hazards to immediate supervisor
  • perform other duties as assigned by management
