Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- ability to understand and follow instructions in English
- effective communication skills
- ability to process 50-100 pounds of laundry at a time
- ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs independently
- ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts and equipment up to 100 lbs
- ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and stoop 90 percent of the work day
- willingness to adhere to hygiene and safety standards
- ability to work part-time flexible day schedule
- successful completion of history and physical exam, tuberculin skin test or chest X-ray, drug screen, criminal background screening, and employment reference verification
Job Qualifications

- effective communication skills
- commercial laundry experience desirable but not required
- ability to process 50-100 pounds of laundry at a time
Job Duties
- Collects, cleans, and redistributes the community and residents’ personal laundry and flat linens
- ensures that laundry is properly sorted, washed and dried according to state and federal regulations
- maintains the laundry area in a clean, orderly and sanitary condition
- makes beds as needed in the morning, turns down beds in the evening, changes bed linens once per week or as needed
- maintains laundry equipment and supplies
- prioritizes work according to supervisor’s instructions
- attends in-service training and educational sessions
- performs additional duties as assigned by supervisor
