Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Good communication skills
- Ability to manage physical tasks including sorting washing and folding linens
- Prior laundry experience preferred
- Must be able to work varied shifts including weekends
- Ability to respond to questions and requests professionally
Job Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision
- Ability to interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions
- Effective communication skills by phone and verbally
- Prior laundry experience preferred
Job Duties
- Collects and sorts soiled linens from various locations into compatible washing types in preparation for washing
- Loads washers with soiled linens selecting the proper wash formula
- Performs finishing work including unloading washers loading dryers folding linens and distributing linens and resident clothing to storage areas and closets
- Responds to questions and requests from patients staff and visitors
- Performs all functions according to established policies procedures regulatory and accreditation requirements
- Provides customers with an excellent service experience by demonstrating core and leader behaviors daily
