Laundry Capital is a leading laundromat operator established in 1996 and headquartered in New York. Job Requirements
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Must be able to communicate with all customers and associates in a professional manner
- Must be able to stand for up to 8 plus hours at a time for a shift
- Must be able to lift 35 pounds
- Must be able to work well with peers
- Previous experience in customer service or retail is preferred
- Ability to resolve customer issues complaints in a fashionable and timely manner
- Ability to perform assigned tasks by management
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in customer service or retail preferred
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers and peers
- Basic math and cash handling skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow management instructions
Job Duties
- Provide assistance to customers with use of laundry cards machine selection and operation retail sales purchases wash and fold orders and other questions or concerns
- Accurately utilize the cash register or point of sale computer
- Maintain thorough product knowledge and encourage additional sales
- Keep retail items neatly stocked and communicate inventory or janitorial needs to management
- Use log books to report maintenance issues and notify supervisor of unsafe situations
- Adhere to company policies and procedures including attendance and uniform compliance
- Follow safety practices to prevent accidents and injuries
- Understand responsibilities for emergency situations such as fires floods and severe weather
- Maintain a safe environment inside and outside the store
- Continually clean the store by picking up debris emptying trash containers and checking bathrooms
