Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic experience in healthcare or related field preferred
- Must pass Florida AHCA Clearinghouse background screening
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and moving heavy laundry containers
- Availability to work shifts including weekends and holidays
- Willingness to adhere to facility policies, dress code, and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in the healthcare industry is a plus
- Ability to follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Job Duties
- Ensure the cleanliness and orderly manner in which resident laundry is handled
- Pick up, launder, dry and fold facility laundry including sheets, blankets, pillowcases, towels, and washcloths
- Pick up, launder, dry, fold and hang residents’ personal clothing, return to room and put away folded belongings neatly
- Ensure equipment is cleaned and maintained according to facility maintenance programs and procedures, including cleaning lint baskets and wiping down washers and dryers
- Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work area while moving heavy laundry containers and personal clothing carts
- Keep track of soiled, stained and tattered items and notify supervisor, remove items not approved for use and replace stock
- Use personal protective equipment while handling chemicals and dispose properly
- Adhere to dress codes and maintain personal cleanliness
- Perform other duties as assigned including housekeeping and floor tech tasks
