Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Prior health care experience preferred
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
  • Knowledgeable of practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines in the post acute care facility
  • Ability to implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to perform proficiently in competency areas including patient rights, safety, and sanitation
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Understanding of company policies including harassment and compliance
  • Adherence to Life Care's Code of Conduct and completion of mandatory compliance training

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Prior health care experience preferred
  • Knowledge of practices and procedures in a post acute care facility
  • Understanding of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing laundry functions in healthcare
  • Ability to maintain professional working relationships
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary and confidential information
  • Completion of mandatory compliance training

Job Duties

  • Perform day to day laundry functions including collecting, sorting, ironing, folding, stacking, hanging, and distributing
  • Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
  • Assist in the evacuation of patients
  • Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance
  • Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment
  • Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
  • Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
  • Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
