Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- One to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, and use hands for handling
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Exposure to communicable diseases, blood-borne pathogens, chemicals, and biological hazards possible
- Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Good vision and hearing
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- One to three months related experience or training preferred
- Basic knowledge of laundry procedures and use of cleaning equipment
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic technical skills for repetitive tasks
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Performs all assigned laundry duties including collecting, sorting, washing, folding, and distributing linens and garments
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces
- Uses laundry equipment and cleaning chemicals safely according to guidelines
- Monitors and reports laundry supply inventory levels
- Reports equipment malfunctions or irregularities to supervisor
- Attends required training sessions and staff meetings
- Ensures a safe working environment by preventing accidents and preserving equipment
