Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred
- Ability to read and write at a level appropriate for the job
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to operate washing machines, dryers, and other cleaning equipment
- Ability to submit and clear state-specific background checks
- Ability to maintain punctuality and regular attendance
Job Qualifications

- Ability to read and write at a level appropriate for the job
- Strong communication skills with residents, family members, and staff
- Knowledge of infection control techniques and safe cleaning practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate washing machines, dryers, and cleaning equipment
- Ability to remain patient, polite, and attentive to the needs of residents and staff
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Sorts, washes, dries, folds, and irons linens and resident clothing
- Stocks linen closets and carts for nursing units
- Delivers clean linens and clothing to rooms
- Cleans and sanitizes resident rooms, hallways, dining areas, bathrooms, and other facility areas
- Labels and removes infectious waste bags and containers according to safety protocols
- Performs routine cleaning and maintenance of laundry equipment
- Follows infection control techniques and maintains sanitation standards
- Ensures linens are properly stocked, organized, and returned to laundry areas
- Maintains punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts
- Performs additional tasks as assigned by supervisory staff
