Job Requirements
- must be able to lift and move a minimum of 25 pounds
- must maintain cleanliness and sanitation of laundry areas
- must follow instructions concerning the use and mixture of cleaning compounds
- must wear and use safety equipment when necessary
- must report accidents and incidents
- must coordinate with nursing services
- must maintain confidentiality of resident information
Job Qualifications
- ability to follow written and oral instructions
- capability to maintain cleanliness and order of laundry areas
- physical ability to lift and move weights of at least 25 pounds
- knowledge of safety procedures in handling chemicals
- good communication skills
- basic understanding of infection control practices
Job Duties
- perform day-to-day laundry activities in compliance with federal, state, and local standards
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation of laundry and work areas
- ensure adequate linen supply to meet resident needs
- coordinate laundry services with nursing staff during routine assignments
- follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment
- handle and mix cleaning chemicals as per guidelines
- report accidents, incidents, and hazardous conditions to supervisors
