Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must complete CPR certification within 60 days of employment
- Must complete Crisis Prevention Institute certification within 60 days of employment
- Must complete First Aid certification within 60 days of employment
- Successful completion of post-offer physical examination
- Pass 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis
- Acceptable criminal background clearances
- Valid driver license, motor vehicle clearance, and proof of auto insurance if position requires driving
- Ability to work with individuals with mental illness
- Willingness to work various on call shift hours
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Must maintain certifications throughout employment
Job Qualifications
- High school graduation or GED equivalent
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Willingness to work with individuals with mental illness
- CPR certified within 60 days of employment
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certified within 60 days of employment
- First Aid certified within 60 days of employment
- Prior experience as a laundry aide or housekeeper preferred
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and stand for long periods
Job Duties
- Demonstrates the Telecare mission, purpose, values, and beliefs in interactions with stakeholders
- Transports clean linen from the laundry to the linen closets
- Arranges clean linens on the shelves of linen closets
- Periodically cleans linen closet shelves
- Cleans clean linen carts as assigned
- Washes linen and personal clothing of members served
- Hangs folded personal clothing on garment racks
- Discards inappropriate clothing items
- Separates underwear and socks for distribution
- Labels members served clothing as requested
