- Basic understanding of laundry equipment operation
- Good communication skills
- Reliable and punctual work ethic
Job Qualifications
- High school degree preferred
- Previous experience in healthcare laundering processes preferred
- Ability to learn and operate laundry machinery efficiently
- Knowledge of proper stain removal techniques
- Familiarity with chemical safety data sheets (MSDS)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Folds and sorts laundry (blankets, sheets, towels etc.) and personal clothing items
- Hangs clothes on racks according to name and numbers
- Delivers patient/resident’s laundry to designated areas
- Ensures that patients/residents clothes are ready to wear, not in disrepair and put in proper place
- Understands functions of various soaps and bleaches
- Follows precautions as stated on MSDS for all chemicals used
- Washes and dries clothes and linens
