Job Requirements
- Previous housekeeping, cleaning, or laundry aide experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Ability to work independently and reschedule cleaning activities to meet residents or nursing staff needs
- Ability to interact tactfully and effectively with residents, families, visitors, and co-workers
- Ability to read and understand Standard English
- Ability to work with standard cleaning chemicals
- Punctual and reliable with adherence to scheduled work hours
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning, or laundry aide roles preferably in a healthcare setting
- Ability to work independently and reschedule tasks as required
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively and tactfully with residents, families, visitors, and co-workers
- Ability to read and understand standard English
- Knowledge of standard cleaning chemicals and their safe usage
- Punctuality and reliability with adherence to scheduled work hours
Job Duties
- Sort and separate laundry items according to color, fabric type, and care instructions
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment such as washing machines and dryers
- Load and unload laundry machines ensuring proper weights and settings
- Use appropriate cleaning agents and laundry products to remove stains and odors
- Check and treat items for stains and damages before laundering
- Inspect and fold cleaned laundry items ensuring proper sorting and storage
- Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and inform the supervisor when additional supplies are needed
- Assist with the delivery of clean laundry to appropriate areas or individuals
- Follow safety procedures and maintain cleanliness in the laundry area
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and excellent service
