Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in laundry or housekeeping preferred
- Ability to follow federal, state, and local guidelines
- Basic knowledge of chemical safety and handling
- Physical ability to perform lifting and moving tasks
- Willingness to adhere to safety protocols
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of resident information
Job Qualifications
- Ability to maintain care and use of supplies and equipment
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Capacity to push, pull, move, or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a height of 5 feet
- Physical stamina to carry or move weights a minimum distance of 50 feet
Job Duties
- Perform day-to-day laundry activities in compliance with federal, state, and local standards
- Follow work and cleaning schedules
- Report all accidents and incidents to supervisor
- Coordinate laundry services with nursing services for resident areas
- Adhere to fire safety policies and procedures
- Use safety equipment when lifting or moving heavy objects
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas and equipment
- Follow proper chemical mixing and handling techniques
- Keep supervisor informed of supply needs
- Ensure clean laundry is distributed during emergencies
- Maintain confidentiality of resident care information
- Report unauthorized disclosures
