Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- must be at least 18 years old
- ability to stand and walk throughout a 4 to 8-hour shift
- ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 30 lbs
- ability to raise a tray weighing up to 25 lbs to shoulder height
- able to bend, stoop, reach, wipe, lift, and grab
- sufficient mobility to move and operate in the work area
- must be able to hear well in a loud environment
- must meet any state, county, or municipal health regulation for food handling
- must be able to observe and differentiate between monetary denominations
- ability to operate point of sale system
- must be able to work around potentially hazardous chemicals
- must be able to serve all Denny's menu products
- legal authorization to work in the country
Job Qualifications
- must be able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
- must be able to pass all required tests and training for the position
- must be able to work effectively in a team environment
- meets Denny's uniform and grooming standards consistently
- capable of working flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- possesses excellent guest service skills
- basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

Job Duties
- taking food orders and keeping drinks filled
- making sure guests' meals and their experience is as perfect as possible
- serving guests with a warm friendly smile
- greeting, seating, and servicing guests in a friendly and courteous manner
- suggestively selling menu items to enhance guests' experience
- receiving payment and processing transactions accurately
- responding to and addressing guest concerns promptly
- assisting other service personnel as needed to maintain efficient service
- maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area
- operating point of sale system efficiently
- adhering to health and safety regulations in food handling
