Job Requirements

  • college degree or certification in culinary field or hospitality preferred
  • minimum of 2 years experience in a high-volume kitchen, preferably hotel or resort setting
  • knowledge of culinary techniques and cuisines
  • strong leadership and team motivation skills
  • excellent verbal and written communication
  • inventory management skills
  • ability to work under pressure and multitask
  • understanding of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • communicates daily with the Executive Chef regarding planning, staffing, and internal procedures
  • completes daily food requisitions and daily specials
  • assists in the hiring, training, and coaching of kitchen team members
  • plays an integral role in menu development
  • manages inventory including ordering and receiving products
  • maintains a clean and organized kitchen
  • ensures all dishes are prepared to perfection
