Job Requirements
- Must have a current, valid driver's license
- must be insurable
- minimum one year of landscape technician experience
- ability to perform physical labor including lifting up to 50 pounds frequently
- ability to work in inclement weather conditions
- ability to supervise inmate work crews
- ability to operate landscaping machinery and tools
- ability to perform clerical duties related to maintenance
- ability to comply with safety and security protocols
- ability to work overtime and respond to service calls during non-standard hours
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year of landscape technician experience
- valid driver's license
- knowledge of machines and tools related to landscaping
- familiarity with local, state, or national security operations policies
- proficiency in English language including reading and writing
- ability to operate Microsoft Office and other office equipment
- capability to perform routine equipment maintenance
- strong communication and public interaction skills
- ability to complete work with minimal supervision
- demonstrate loyalty and integrity
- ability to work flexible schedules and overtime
- ability to safely pull and operate utility trailers
Job Duties
- Mow and maintain lawn areas
- maintain sprinkler systems and assist in repair and installation
- perform routine maintenance of lawn and power equipment
- plant grass, trees, shrubs, and flowers
- install sod and landscape materials
- apply chemicals such as fertilizer and pest control
- maintain and adjust landscaping equipment and tools
- operate zero turn mowers, trucks, trimmers, and other equipment
- perform custodial maintenance tasks
- haul, store, and dispose of materials
- open, close, lock, and unlock facilities
- perform clerical work related to reports, evaluations, inventory, and work orders
- perform physical activities like climbing, lifting, and balancing
- handle and move materials using hands and arms
