Job Requirements

  • Culinary degree or relevant certification
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working in a professional kitchen, preferably in pastry or bakery
  • Proficiency in pastry techniques and baking methods
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
  • Ability to lead and manage kitchen staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Strong culinary experience with a focus on food preparation and baking
  • Experience in cake decorating and pastry production is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Previous experience in catering or restaurant environments is a plus
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong organizational skills with a commitment to maintaining a clean work environment

Job Duties

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
  • Oversee food production processes, including food handling and safety protocols
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new recipes and improve existing ones
  • Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow
  • Ensure proper packaging of food items for catering services or takeout orders
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any guest inquiries or concerns regarding food
