Job Requirements
- Culinary degree or relevant certification
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a professional kitchen, preferably in pastry or bakery
- Proficiency in pastry techniques and baking methods
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Ability to lead and manage kitchen staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Strong culinary experience with a focus on food preparation and baking
- Experience in cake decorating and pastry production is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Previous experience in catering or restaurant environments is a plus
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
- Strong organizational skills with a commitment to maintaining a clean work environment
Job Duties
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Oversee food production processes, including food handling and safety protocols
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new recipes and improve existing ones
- Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow
- Ensure proper packaging of food items for catering services or takeout orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any guest inquiries or concerns regarding food
