Job Requirements
- Top rope certified
- first aid/CPR certified
- ability to teach fundamental climbing techniques
- lead belay certification preferred
- experience in competition climbing
- experience coaching youth sports preferred
- availability to coach 3 or more days per week for advanced levels
- availability to attend competitions and championship events
- ability to lift and carry minimum 30lbs
- patient and adaptable coaching style
- strong communication skills
- willingness to collaborate with multiple departments

Job Duties
- Lead recreational team practices for various ages and abilities with provided curriculum
- work with kids in Sender City and primary climbing facilities during camps
- assist and communicate with team members and other departments
- motivate athletes of all levels and ages
- manage climbing risks and guide on gym etiquette
- answer program-related questions and connect with parents
- assist with check-in and out processes
- maintain high product knowledge of gym offerings
- assist with Pro Shop products
- complete department and operations checklists on time
- lead Climbing Academy classes
- provide feedback to new coaches
- coach training, competition, or intermediate teams
- teach lead climbing and belaying
- implement strength and conditioning training
- build lesson plans to modify curriculum
- lead team huddles
- field questions from parents
- manage daily schedule to meet team ratios
- attend competitions and assist with department administration
- oversee specific coaching specializations
