Job Requirements
- Food Manager certification from prior work experience or completion of Philz Coffee Food Manager certification within 30 days of employment
- ability to operate various machines, tools, and equipment
- visual acuity to ensure safety and accuracy
- ability to remain stationary for a minimum of 3 hours
- ability to stand, walk, stoop and kneel
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds intermittently and lift 3 pounds to shoulder height repetitively
- ability to grasp, finger and reach
- ability to communicate effectively verbally
- willingness to embody and promote Philz's core values consistently
Job Qualifications
- 3+ years experience managing a fast-paced, high-volume, customer service-oriented business preferably in food service or retail
- proven experience managing financial health of retail operations including P&L oversight
- proven ability to create an inclusive and dynamic team environment
- experience recruiting, motivating, training and retaining a team
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- strong organizational and time management skills
- solid business acumen
- proactive self-starter capable of working independently and collaboratively
Job Duties
- Provide frontline leadership to all team members
- ensure the financial health of the store including P&L oversight
- establish and cultivate a culture aligned with Philz's core values
- train and develop team members for professional growth
- set goals and manage team performance and accountability
- collaborate with district recruiters to attract and retain diverse talent
- roll up sleeves and engage daily with customers and employees to inspire and improve the store experience
