Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as an assistant kitchen manager or similar role in a restaurant
  • Working knowledge of professional kitchen equipment and procedures
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication ability
  • Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
  • Flexibility to work in shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to speak read write and understand the primary language used in the workplace
  • Must be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary school degree
  • Professional certification such as ServSafe
  • 2+ years in a managerial role in a kitchen
  • Hands-on experience with inventory management and Vista POS

Job Duties

  • Assist the Kitchen Manager in all aspects of kitchen operations including menu development food preparation and cooking
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and cooked to the highest standards set by the Kitchen Manager
  • Assist with ordering supplies and maintaining inventory levels
  • Help to train new kitchen staff members in proper food preparation food handling techniques safety procedures and knife skills
  • Enforce sanitation standards and maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Monitor food waste management and take steps to implement processes to reduce waste
  • Create weekly schedules for kitchen staff
  • Assist with the inventory process and ensure all par levels in coolers and freezers are stocked
  • Handle customer complaints in a professional and efficient manner
  • Perform opening and closing duties as needed
  • Adhere to all local health and safety regulations
  • Other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or Senior Managers
