Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid North Carolina Class C Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record
- Ability to read, write and follow directions
- One year of experience in boating or fishing activities
- Experience handling money in the workplace
- Obtain Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification with Anaphylaxis and Epinephrine Auto Injector Certification within the first six months of employment

- Customer service experience preferred
- Ability to de-escalate situations with frustrated customers
- Ability to prioritize customer service based on assistance needed
Job Duties
- Supervise lake users in a variety of water-based recreational activities
- Rent jon boats, canoes, kayaks, trolling motors and issue personal flotation devices ensuring proper fit
- Issue boating and fishing permits and collect fees for permits
- Maintain cash drawer and keep accurate records of fees collected
- Perform basic equipment and inventory checks and determine repair needs
- Provide the public with information regarding rules and regulations and assist patrons with guiding crafts in waterways
- Supervise parks and waterways for safety and compliance with rules and regulations
