Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Hold a valid North Carolina Class C Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record
- Have at least one year of experience in boating or fishing activities
- Be able to read, write and follow directions
- Have experience handling money in a workplace
- Obtain Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification with Anaphylaxis and Epinephrine Auto Injector within the first six months of employment

- Valid Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED with Anaphylaxis and Epinephrine Auto Injector Certification within six months of employment
- Customer service experience preferred
- Ability to de-escalate frustrated customers preferred
- Ability to prioritize customer service based on assistance needed preferred
Job Duties
- Supervises lake users in a variety of water-based recreational activities
- Rents jon boats, canoes, kayaks, trolling motors and issues personal flotation devices ensuring proper fit
- Issues boating and fishing permits and collects fees while maintaining the cash drawer
- Performs basic checks of equipment and inventory and determines repair needs
- Provides the public with information regarding rules and regulations and assists patrons with guiding crafts in waterways
- Supervises parks and waterways for safety and compliance with rules and regulations
- Maintains records of fees collected
