Job Requirements

  • Food Manager certification from prior work experience or completion of Philz Coffee Food Manager certification within the first 30 days of employment
  • Ability to operate a variety of machines, tools, and equipment
  • Visual acuity for safety and accuracy
  • Ability to remain stationary for a minimum of 3 hours
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and kneel
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds intermittently and 3 pounds to shoulder height repetitively
  • Ability to grasp, finger, and reach
  • Ability to express or exchange information by spoken word

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience managing a fast-paced, high volume, customer service-oriented business preferably in food service or retail
  • Proven experience in managing the financial health of retail operations including P&L oversight
  • Ability to create an inclusive and dynamic team environment
  • Strong business acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, motivate, train, and retain a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Job Duties

  • Provide frontline leadership to all team members
  • Manage financial health of the store including P&L oversight
  • Cultivate a positive, inclusive store culture aligned with Philz core values
  • Train, develop, and recognize future Philz leaders
  • Create an environment for exceptional customer service
  • Set goals, manage performance, and hold team accountable
  • Partner with district recruiter to attract and retain high-performing talent
