Job Requirements

  • Food manager certification or willingness to complete Philz Coffee Food Manager certification within first 30 days
  • Ability to operate machinery, tools, and equipment
  • Visual acuity for safety and accuracy
  • Ability to remain stationary for minimum 3 hours
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds intermittently and 3 pounds repetitively to shoulder height
  • Ability to grasp, finger, and reach
  • Ability to express or exchange information verbally

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience managing a fast paced, high volume, customer service-oriented business preferably in food service or retail
  • Proven ability to manage financial health including profitability and cost management
  • Strong business acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to create inclusive, dynamic team environments
  • Experience recruiting, motivating, training, and retaining teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Job Duties

  • Provide frontline leadership to team members
  • Manage the financial health of the store including P&L oversight
  • Establish and cultivate a culture aligned with Philz core values
  • Train and develop team members for professional growth
  • Maximize financial performance by creating a great work environment
  • Set goals, manage performance issues, and hold team accountable
  • Partner with district recruiter to attract and retain diverse talent
