Job Requirements
- US citizen
- Ability to perform the work of a laborer without more than normal supervision
- Physical ability to exert heavy effort including lifting and moving objects up to 40 pounds
- Capability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to work near water with potential immersion
- Experience or ability to safely operate heavy equipment and tools
- Flexibility for a temporary appointment not exceeding 36 months
Job Qualifications
- Ability to perform laborer duties with minimal supervision
- Experience with maintenance and repair of public facilities
- Physical capability to lift heavy objects and perform strenuous tasks
- Knowledge of safety procedures and equipment handling
- Experience operating power mowers and other landscaping tools
- Demonstrated ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- US citizenship
Job Duties
- Maintain public use facilities including roads, beaches, trails, picnic and camping areas, parking areas, restrooms, offices, and garages
- Repair fences and assist in mixing concrete by hand or machine
- Spread, roll, and compact materials using appropriate tools
- Maintain grounds and buildings including cleaning, scraping, and chipping paint
- Perform minor repairs and general maintenance activities
- Operate power mowers on grades and other heavy equipment
- Work safely around moving equipment and in outdoor weather conditions
