Job Requirements
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing prior to hire or transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer
- Basic Life Support provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire or transfer
- Neonatal Resuscitation certification within 6 months of hire or transfer
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire or transfer
- Preferred certifications in ER Vehicle Operation and Flight Nursing
- Driver's license preferred
- Emergency Medical Technician credential preferred
- Paramedic preferred
- Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire
- Minimum 5 years of labor and delivery experience
Job Qualifications
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing
- Advanced Life Support certification obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer
- Basic Life Support provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire or transfer
- Neonatal Resuscitation certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer
- Certification specializing in ER Vehicle Operation preferred
- Certified Registered Nurse specializing in Flight preferred
- Emergency Medical Technician credentialed from the National Registry preferred
- Paramedic preferred
- Minimum 5 years of labor and delivery experience
- ACLS certified
- NSP certified
- BLS certified
Job Duties
- Provide high quality patient care during transport between facilities
- Perform assessment and stabilization of patients and necessary diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
- Ensure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards and collaborating with team members
- Participate in decision-making and partner with the multidisciplinary team to improve operational efficiency
- Complete all appropriate medical documentation
- Drive ambulance to transport patients and/or supplies as required
- Support team communication and patient safety throughout transport
