Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Teaching experience in flight instruction or higher education
- Experience in photogrammetry, photography, and videography
- Familiarity with flight controllers including Ardupilot, PX4, and QGroundControl
- FAA sUAS Remote Pilot Certification
- Ability to work professionally and adapt to program needs
- Willingness to support experimental program growth
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Teaching experience including Certified Flight Instructor I and II or in higher education
- Experience in photogrammetry, photography, and videography
- Knowledge of flight controllers such as Ardupilot, PX4, and QGroundControl software
- FAA sUAS Remote Pilot Certification
- Preferred qualifications include FAA Title 14 CFR Part 61 Pilot Certificate
- Graduate degree
- Experience with curriculum writing in higher education
- Completion of UMA's UAS Certificate Program
Job Duties
- Provide operational oversight of the UAS program
- Coordinate ground, flight, and logistical operations
- Plan and implement UAS training and operations
- Ensure safe and legal operation of the aircraft
- Manage crew resource coordination
- Oversee systems procurement and maintenance
- Support the Director of UAS Education and Research
