Job Requirements
- Associate degree or certificate in Culinary or Pastry Arts, Hospitality Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Experience in a professional kitchen, culinary education environment, or procurement role
- ServSafe Manager Certification required
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP principles
- Ability to work full time with a schedule of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Must reside within a commutable distance to Maryland or be willing to relocate at own expense
- Pre-employment criminal background investigation

Job Duties
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures for culinary labs
- Oversee setup, cleanliness, and organization of culinary labs and kitchens
- Ensure equipment functionality and coordinate maintenance
- Assist faculty and students with lab and ingredient preparation
- Enforce safety, sanitation, and compliance protocols
- Coordinate lab scheduling for classes and events
- Train adjuncts and student workers on kitchen procedures
- Serve as liaison between faculty and administration
- Assist with student dining lab operations
- Source and purchase ingredients and kitchen equipment
- Maintain relationships with suppliers
- Track deliveries and reconcile invoices
- Manage purchase records and cost control
- Forecast lab needs based on schedules and events
- Monitor food cost and waste reduction
- Develop and manage lab budgets
- Implement sustainability practices including composting and recycling
