Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment
  • high school diploma or equivalency preferred
  • customer service and at least three years of fine dining server experience preferred
  • proficient in large tray service
  • must be able to stand, walk and move through all areas of the dining room for a lengthy period of time
  • must be able to carry trays which may weigh up to fifty pounds
  • must be able to assist with special needs of customers such as helping the elderly from their chair, assisting with coats, pulling out chairs for the guests
  • must maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • must complete all required SGC training programs within nine months from commencement of employment

  • must remain calm and professional in a fast paced environment
  • be organized and utilize time well

  • must possess excellent communication skills
  • ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively and interact well with customers and employees
  • must have the ability to resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner

Job Duties

  • Report to work on time, well-groomed in full uniform with badge on upper left side of uniform
  • provide prompt, friendly, and courteous service of food and beverage to all guests
  • be hospitable, friendly, and polite with all guests, co-workers, and management using positive body language
  • maintain full knowledge of menu, wine list, and daily features
  • have a strong understanding of fine dining philosophy and goals and be supportive of them at all times
  • be knowledgeable of American Service standards and proper wine service
  • greet all guests within one minute in a friendly and courteous manner
