Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move throughout dining room and bars for lengthy periods
  • Must be able to carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to assist guests with special needs such as helping elderly with chairs and coats
  • Must maintain physical stamina and a positive mental attitude to work under pressure
  • Must comply with Seneca Gaming Corporation policies and procedures
  • Must complete all required training programs within nine months
  • Must work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be well-groomed and wear full uniform with badge
  • Must have basic knowledge of menu, wine lists, drinks, and daily features
  • Must be able to push, pull and maneuver heavy carts weighing 100 to 500 pounds
  • Ability to work in an environment with moderate noise level and permitted smoking

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency preferred
  • Previous customer service or fine dining experience preferred
  • Proficient in large tray service
  • Ability to operate equipment such as juicer, cutting boards, soda guns, ice machines, glass washing machines, non-alcoholic frozen drink machines, and ice tea machines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically
  • Outgoing, friendly personality with a cheerful disposition
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
  • Organized and efficient time management
  • Team player

Job Duties

  • Report to work on time and in proper uniform with badge on upper left side
  • Assist hostess, waiter/waitress, and bartender as needed
  • Greet guests promptly with water and bread and replenish as necessary
  • Perform proficient large tray service including clearing, stacking, and balancing trays
  • Maintain a hospitable and polite demeanor with guests, co-workers, and management
  • Remove dishes and used silverware after each course and replace any items guests may need
  • Wrap guest food when required
  • Perform duties assigned by manager or shift manager
  • Assist other employees as needed
  • Be familiar with check and cashiering procedures
  • Remain attentive to guests and exceed their expectations
  • Know the casino’s history, property map, and location of amenities to handle guest inquiries efficiently
  • Have basic knowledge of menu, wine lists, drinks, and daily features
  • Monitor dining room activities continuously
  • Properly clear and reset tables according to assistant waiter manual
  • Prepare fruit, fill ice bins, and clean ashtrays
  • Wash glasses for the bartender and clear bar debris
  • Complete designated opening and closing side work daily
  • Adhere to information security policies
  • Provide exceptional customer service at all times
  • Meet attendance guidelines and company policies
  • Complete all required Seneca Gaming Corporation training programs within nine months
  • Attend necessary meetings
  • Duties and expectations subject to change
  • Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule
  • Review log book at shift start for instructions and special set-ups
  • Maintain neat and organized work station
  • Check and clean chairs, bar stools, and floors
  • Clean tray stands daily
  • Maintain bread area and kitchen areas during dining hours
  • Assist guests with chairs and coats upon departure
  • Set up bar for food service
  • Push, pull, and turn four wheel carts weighing 100 to 500 pounds
  • Unload cart and place orders in pre-designated areas
  • Remove trash and sort recyclables multiple times per shift
  • Clean floors and mats behind bars
  • Change Bag in Box, CO2 tanks, and tap kegs
