Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in data center operations or server support
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work onsite in Reno, NV
  • Good physical condition to handle hardware installations and maintenance
  • Effective communication skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours if needed

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in data center operations or server support
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for server hardware and connectivity
  • Knowledge of networking basics including IP configuration and cabling
  • Hands-on experience with rack and stack and structured cabling
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, onsite environment

Job Duties

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot server hardware issues and identify root causes
  • Perform server firmware upgrades and ensure systems are up to date
  • Install and replace hardware components such as drives, NICs, memory
  • Configure IP addresses and access credentials
  • Support rack, stack, and cabling activities for servers and switches
  • Collaborate with network teams for connectivity and issue resolution
  • Perform cable routing, optics replacement, and hardware upgrades
  • Conduct inventory audits and physical inspections
  • Provide hands-on support for data center operations and maintenance
