Job Requirements
- Minimum two years college or trade school with emphasis on Radio/TV or Journalism
- Minimum two years news photography experience at a network affiliate
- Ability to operate all editing and recording equipment
- Willingness to adapt to evolving technology and newsroom practices
- Knowledge of journalistic standards and on-camera performance
- Accurate writing, shooting, and editing skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work well with others and provide assistance
- Ability to meet physical and mental job demands including verbal communication, reading, hearing, performing dexterity tasks, handling emotional stress, rotating shifts, lifting 50 pounds unaided, riding in aircraft without illness, and adhering to weight restrictions
- Valid Oklahoma driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to perform other job-related duties as assigned
Job Qualifications

- Minimum two years news photography experience at a network affiliate
- Must be able to operate all editing and recording equipment
- Knowledge of Avid non-linear editing preferred
- Willingness to adapt to evolving technology and newsroom practices
- Strong journalistic standards and ability to perform on camera
- Accurate writing, shooting, and editing skills with good communication
- Ability to work well with others and assist across newsgathering tasks
- Ability to work under tight deadlines alone or with a reporter
- Creative and passionate storyteller familiar with National Press Photographers Association practices
- Proficiency operating all ENG equipment and intercom system
- Valid Oklahoma driver’s license or ability to obtain one with acceptable driving record
Job Duties
- Operate the onboard camera and transmitter to broadcast aerials of news, sports and weather events
- Record sound and pictures on video for broadcasts and all digital platforms, displaying awareness of the elements of good photojournalism
- Apply editing skills for stories and organize video for broadcasting and digital platforms
- Write news copy and travel to news scenes to cover stories as needed
- Use social media as part of daily storytelling
- Stay in contact with Assignment Desk throughout shift
- Maintain operational status of assigned equipment
- Assist the pilot by spotting other aircraft and hazards
- Exit helicopter safely when necessary to assist with ground safety
- Secure all equipment on board in flight
- Perform other job-related duties including driving for company business
