Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent experience
  • able to read, write, and interpret menus and other written tools
  • ability to work as part of a team and communicate well with supervisor and co-workers, and with customers
  • able to lift up to 40 pounds without assistance
  • capable of learning food sanitation and safety procedures
  • able to follow directions in an efficient manner
  • able to work in an environment that can reach 90 degrees fahrenheit
  • able to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time
  • able to stoop, and bend or twist at the neck and trunk while performing the duties of the job
  • able to use hand strength to grasp tools, and reach with arms and hands

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • prepares food as directed by supervisor or cook
  • maintain production and temperature records for all foods, controlling quality and quantity of food
  • serve meals to customers or perform cashiering functions during meal service
  • receive products being delivered and assure proper storage
  • perform basic cashier duties, including meal payment processing, maintaining students' meal accounts, computer functions, and maintaining petty cash
  • clean and sanitize equipment following all required state and federal guidelines
  • plan ahead for the week's menu, communicate needs with the supervisor and utilize food products to maintain freshness
  • operate all cooking and cleaning equipment as instructed
  • maintain dress code as instructed
  • all other duties as assigned by the supervisor
