Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years old or older
- Completion of two years of college preferred
- Ability to take written and verbal direction in English
- Ability to mix and serve a wide variety of drinks
- Ability to perform duties of bartender, prep cook, and cocktail server
- Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary certifications
- Ability to handle money and use office machines
- Ability to operate cash register, POS software, and kitchen equipment
- Ability to professionally handle difficult guests and team members
- Ability to open and close bar independently
- Ability to distinguish currency denominations and make change
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One or more years of bartending experience
- Two or more years of bartending and supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to take written and verbal directions in English
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Strong knowledge of cocktail mixing and bar equipment
- Ability to handle money and make change accurately
- Ability to diplomatically manage difficult situations
- Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate certifications
- Experience using POS software and kitchen equipment
Job Duties
- Open and close the hotel kitchen and bar following company policies and procedures
- Maintain food prep and bar area in a clean and well-organized manner
- Serve and assist guests with a high standard of service and hospitality
- Present knowledge of the hotel, area, and events to answer guest questions
- Mix and serve a wide variety of drinks in a fast-paced environment
- Perform duties of bartender, prep cook, and cocktail server as needed
- Handle difficult situations and people professionally while leading other team members
