Job Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Degree in hospitality management, culinary or other related area a plus
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Position requires SNHD Food Handler Card
  • Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality
  • Constant contact with employees and management
  • Stamina to work 40 hours with possibility of overtime when needed
  • Must be flexible with schedule and able to work different shifts
  • Possible job hazards include slips, trips, falls, burns, cuts and strains
  • Must be able to reach, lift, stoop, bend and perform extensive standing and walking including stairs throughout shift
  • Ability to use hands in using office equipment including the computer system
  • Ability to talk and hear to conduct phone correspondence
  • Prolonged standing and mobility
  • Bending and reaching
  • Transporting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering items weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Eye/hand coordination
  • Ability to push and/or pull file cabinet drawers weighing up to 5 lbs
  • Ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols
  • Ability to comply with policies and procedures, job description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (SDS) and other instructions

Job Qualifications

  • Must have prior experience in a full service kitchen operation, dishwashing or other cleaning job capacity
  • Must be able to work under pressure in a controlled, chaotic environment
  • Displays a positive attitude towards team members
  • Demonstrates honesty, fairness and integrity
  • Demonstrates the ability to follow up with tasks
  • English reading, writing, math and computer skills required
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Thorough knowledge of chemical and temperature safety standards and MSDS
  • Current food safety certification and employs good safety and sanitation practices
  • Working knowledge of stewarding and beverage operation
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English
  • Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures

Job Duties

  • Ensures all Resorts World core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied
  • Develop and implement strategies for stewarding area that are aligned with Resorts World food and beverage objectives
  • Maintain a clean, sanitized and safe working environment in the Food and Beverage areas
  • Ensure the cleanliness and sanitizing of all dishware, glassware, silverware, kitchen equipment, kitchen surfaces, and floors throughout the outlet
  • Empty, wash, and return trash bins, along with all cardboard boxes that need to be broken down for recycling
  • Keep wash area and mop closets clean and organized
  • Pitch in to help with special and deep cleaning projects
  • Manage waste receptacles throughout the building
  • Communicate and reinforce the service vision of Resorts World to the supervisors and employees
  • Monitor and control chemical consumption and notify managers when running low
  • Assist in training new employees under Resorts World guidelines and SOPs
  • Participate in daily line-ups or pre-shift meetings
  • Adhere to Resorts World company guidelines as stated in team member training manual and employee handbook
  • Address major odors and safety issues such as broken glassware and spills promptly
  • Take corrective action and notify management of any facility, equipment, employee issues, concerns, or safety hazards
  • Maintain the proper operation of cleaning equipment and dish machines daily
  • Assist in banquet stewarding when needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
