Job Requirements
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must be able to pass a background investigation
- Must maintain a Pauma Gaming Commission License
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds occasionally and 30 pounds repetitively
- Ability to stand during entire shift
- Constant walking and standing
- Constant hearing, seeing, and talking
- Constant balancing, bending, reaching, twisting, holding, wrist motion, and stooping
- Work performed indoors in climate-controlled environment
- Ability to work in close spaces with others
- Exposure to excessive noise, lights, and smoke
- Exposure to chemicals and irritants
Job Qualifications
- No prior experience required
- Prior restaurant experience preferred
- Chemical safety awareness
- Ability to read chemical directions and warnings for proper use
- Ability to read and understand caution and safety notices
- Thorough knowledge of institutional kitchen equipment and proper care
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail

- High school diploma or GED preferred
Job Duties
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors and clean floor mats
- Wash worktables, walls, and refrigerators
- Clean ovens, stoves, deep fryers, and other institutional equipment to ensure sanitation
- Segregate and remove trash and garbage, placing it in designated containers
- Steam clean or hose out garbage cans
- Wash pots, pans, and trays
- Organize and maintain chemical storeroom and stewarding equipment
- Use protective gear while performing duties, including gloves, goggles, aprons, boots, back brace, and masks
- Clean ceilings and/or ceiling tiles safely using a ladder
- Perform general cleaning tasks using authorized labeled cleaning products to adhere to health and safety standards
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
- Load or unload trucks for supply and food delivery
- Rotate incoming food products and organize them in refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage
- Attend training, safety, pre-shift, and departmental meetings
- Assist in training and supporting new employees
- Perform miscellaneous duties as required
