Job Requirements
- Must have a food safety certification recognized by the National Restaurant Association within 90 days of hire
- must have high school diploma or GED
- must be able to safely use knives, mechanical slicer, and other basic kitchen utensils and appliances
- meets Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 including PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, PA Mandated Reporter Training, and FBI Criminal Record Check
- must be able to read, write and communicate in English
- must have an understanding of, appreciation for, and support the Mission of The Salvation Army

Job Duties
- Execute meals according to the menus established by the Kitchen Supervisor
- maintain a clean and safe work environment
- participate in the clean-up of the kitchen and dining area after each meal
- mop floors and remove trash
- clean counters and wash dishes
- unload delivery trucks and store food
- maintain cleanliness of all storage areas
