Job Requirements

  • Education equivalent to high school diploma or GED
  • Minimum one year experience as a cook in the restaurant industry
  • Ability to read and follow standardized recipes
  • Completion of cast certification program or progress towards completion
  • Completion of legally required state or local food safety training and certification
  • Completion of responsible beverage server training
  • Food handlers card where applicable
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
  • Must comply with all food safety laws and protocols
  • Must maintain excellent personal hygiene
  • Must adhere to dress code
  • Must be SDS trained
  • Must report damages, maintenance issues, or suspicious activities
  • Must follow federal and state laws regarding breaks and meal periods

Job Qualifications

  • One plus years experience as a cook in the restaurant industry
  • Ability to read and follow standardized recipes
  • Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures
  • Completion of cast certification program as a cast member and concessionist or progress towards completion
  • Completion of legally required state or local training with required certification
  • Completion of Regal Entertainment Responsible Beverage Server training
  • ServeSafe certification preferred
  • Good public speaking, listening, and communication skills
  • Ability to perform calculations with speed and accuracy
  • Problem solving and decision making skills under pressure
  • Excellent teamwork skills in busy kitchen environments

Job Duties

  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • Remain knowledgeable on all food menu items including specials and promotions
  • Ensure all food menu items are consistently prepared and served per recipes, portioning, and serving standards
  • Keep updated on recipe changes
  • Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items
  • Collaborate with managers, cooks, and servers to prepare meals timely
  • Plate food according to proper procedures
  • Maintain accurate food inventories
  • Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures
  • Rotate stock items as per established procedures
  • Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts
  • Ensure food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at end of shift
  • Maintain a clean as you go approach throughout shift
  • Label, date and sign all products per requirements
  • Cook a variety of foods to maintain proper flavor and appearance
  • Complete daily kitchen logs including cooling, reheating, food temperatures, refrigerator/freezer temperatures and sanitizer solution
  • Comply with all food safety rules, laws, protocols, and standards
  • Adhere to health department rules and regulations
  • Operate and clean all related kitchen equipment properly
  • Use storerooms properly
  • Report and maintain inventory
  • Use cleaning materials safely per SDS
  • Follow all opening, closing and in between show procedures
  • Know emergency, evacuation and robbery procedures
  • Ensure guest satisfaction through courteous interaction
  • Take prompt action to address and resolve guest complaints
  • Be knowledgeable in proper popper operation and emergency procedures
  • Comply with dress code
  • Maintain excellent personal hygiene
  • Follow federal and state laws regarding breaks and meal periods
  • Handle lost and found items per policy
  • Complete SDS training
  • Obtain food handlers card where applicable
  • Report maintenance issues and suspicious activity to management immediately
