Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One plus years experience as a cook in the restaurant industry
  • Ability to read and follow standardized recipes
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
  • Completion of state or local food handler training and certification where required
  • Completion of company specific training programs
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Ability to follow health and safety regulations
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 60 pounds
  • Willingness to undergo SDS training
  • Must obtain food handler's card where applicable
  • Must report any damages, maintenance issues, or suspicious activity to management immediately

Job Qualifications

  • One plus years experience as a cook in the restaurant industry
  • Ability to read and follow standardized recipes
  • Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures
  • Completion or progress towards cast certification and concessionist training
  • Completion of legally required state or local training with certification
  • Completion of Regal Entertainment Responsible Beverage Server training
  • ServeSafe certification preferred
  • Good public speaking and listening skills
  • Ability to perform calculations accurately and identify errors
  • Problem identification and resolution skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure
  • Excellent communication with customers, co-workers, and management
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy kitchen team environment

Job Duties

  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • Remain knowledgeable on all food menu items including specials and promotions
  • Ensure all food items are consistently prepared and served per recipes, portioning, and serving standards
  • Keep updated on recipe changes
  • Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items
  • Collaborate with managers, cooks, and servers to prepare meals timely
  • Plate food according to proper procedures
  • Maintain accurate food inventories
  • Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures
  • Rotate stock items as per established procedures
  • Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts
  • Ensure food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of shift
  • Maintain a clean as you go approach throughout shift
  • Label, date and sign all products per requirements
  • Cook a variety of foods appropriately to maintain proper flavor and appearance
  • Complete daily kitchen logs including cooling, reheating, and food temperatures
  • Comply with all food safety rules, laws, protocols, and standards
  • Adhere and maintain all Health Department rules and regulations
  • Know proper operation and cleaning of all related equipment
  • Use all storerooms properly
  • Report and maintain inventory
  • Use cleaning materials per SDS
  • Know all opening, closing and in between show procedures
  • Know emergency, evacuation, and robbery procedures
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by smiling, greeting, and thanking guests
  • Take prompt, appropriate action to resolve guest complaints
  • Respond personally to guest questions and complaints
  • Be knowledgeable of correct popper operation and emergency procedures
  • Adhere to dress code
  • Maintain excellent personal hygiene
  • Abide by laws regarding breaks and meal periods
  • Handle lost and found items per policy
  • Be SDS trained
  • Obtain food handler's card where applicable
  • Report damages, maintenance issues, and suspicious activity to management immediately
