Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish required
  • Experience working in a commercial or community-style kitchen
  • Ability to work with clients who experience domestic violence and homelessness
  • Must have current food handler card or ability to get one
  • Must have current driver’s license
  • Must have current Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays if needed

Job Duties

  • Planning and organizing the menu
  • Coordinating food service tasks, including purchasing and ordering needed food items
  • Overseeing activities in the kitchen and dining areas, including prep, cookery, and excellent service during meal times
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization according to federal, state, local sanitation and food safety requirements and best practices
  • Picking up food donations from local food banks
