Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • two years of restaurant supervisor or food and beverage industry experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • food handler's certificate from Tarrant County or equivalent within 10 days of hire
  • ability to obtain Serv-Safe Certification within 15 days of hire
  • pass federal/national criminal background check and credit check
  • valid Texas driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and functional assessment screening
  • ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • ability to work evenings and weekends
  • ability to work unsupervised and deliver quality work

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Provides management and support for the kitchen staff, ensuring efficiency in daily operation of a full-service restaurant
  • monitors food production, ordering, cost, quality and consistency on a daily basis, ensuring financial performance and control
  • ensures all operations, recipes, specifications books, and training materials are current and maintained
  • creates work schedules for assigned staff and addresses scheduling conflicts, ensuring sufficient staffing levels to accommodate business demands
  • follows and enforces all applicable safety procedures specified for kitchen and food services areas
  • coordinates food orders and works alongside cooks
  • determines food inventory needs, stocking and ordering
  • manages and maintains sanitation and safety standards in kitchen, kitchen equipment maintenance, arranges equipment repairs when needed
  • works with suppliers to ensure quality goods at affordable prices
  • ensures sanitation standards are maintained in accordance with federal regulations and local health and safety codes
  • participates in daily safety and cleanliness inspections
  • assigns cleaning tasks during slow periods
  • reports all maintenance requests in a timely manner
  • performs managerial functions within POS system
  • maintains cash handling, accountability, and profit and loss authority
  • performs duties of any restaurant position as needed, including kitchen cooking and cleaning
  • assists with marketing and promotional programs to build restaurant sales
  • meets and greets customers, organizes table reservations, offers advice about menu and drink choices
  • addresses customer concerns or problems and receives feedback
  • controls operational costs and identifies ways to cut waste
  • performs related duties as directed
  • ensures regular and timely attendance
  • interacts professionally and respectfully with public and coworkers
