Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • College degree or culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of progressive kitchen supervisory experience
  • Serve Safe or approved equivalent certification or ability to obtain certification
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to work extended hours with physical demands such as walking, bending, and standing
  • Detail oriented
  • Effective communication skills with all organizational levels
  • Proven ability to problem-solve and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience supervising kitchen staff

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • College degree or culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of progressive kitchen supervisory experience
  • Serve Safe or approved equivalent certification or ability to obtain certification
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen setting preferred

Job Duties

  • Supervise kitchen staff to ensure the highest level of food quality and production to standards
  • Conduct daily line checks and ongoing audits of consistency and quality with necessary follow-up
  • Recognize opportunities for improvement and implement necessary changes
  • Develop standard operating procedures to maximize quality
  • Ensure food preparation and delivery standards for banquet events and all outlets including restaurant, room service, concierge, and a la carte service
  • Train team on menu changes and collaborate with manager on menu development
  • Monitor and manage kitchen expenses and labor scheduling to maximize profitability
